MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE!
1. GET INVOLVED!-Colleges and employers want a well-rounded person and someone who is able to be a team player. There are many activities and athletics to get involved in. Listen for announcements!
2. IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY!-It is never too early to start thinking about your future! Stop by the guidance office to discover resources that are available to research colleges, technical schools,the military, and the work force. You can also visit www.bigfuture.org , which is a step-by-step guide to college planning. You can now turn your good grades, community service hours, extracurricular activities and college visits into scholarship money. Visit www.raise.me.com to find out how!
3. PSAT TESTS!-Sophomores can take the PSAT test in October for practice only. 10th grade scores will not count in the National Merit Scholarship contest. All college-bound Juniors must take the test (it is a Junior Test). If you are interested, please sign up in the School Counseling Office. More information to come.
